How do I approve a plan?

Plans are the cornerstone of understanding your reports performance over the course of the year. They can have multiple milestones, competencies associated with them, and support the company goals. However, before you can discuss those actions, as a Manager you need to sit down with your reports, talk about the plan with them and if it all makes sense, approve it for the upcoming review period.

Once that conversation has happened and everyone is happy with the plan, your report will request approval through the system. The plan then needs to be approved before anyone can take action on it.

To approve the plan, you need to: 

  1. When a direct report requests that you review their plan, you will receive an email notification. To navigate to the plan, click the link in the email received.



  2. Once you can see the plan and everything is as discussed, click on the “Approve plan” button in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. Your direct report will receive an email notification to let them know you approved their plan.

  1. If you need to add anything to the plan or make changes that you want your direct report to review, click on Ask staff member for input. They will receive an email notification letting them know that you have asked them to review the plan. 
And that’s all that there is to it!
Once the plan is approved the employee can start working on their goals and adding in updates.
If there are goals or milestones in there with a specific date deadline, the system will send notifications when they’re due.
It will also send notifications to you as a manager when the review is due.
